Hero candidates — asset readiness

All 50 hero candidates were checked. The good news: 46 of 50 have box artwork + at least one studio photo in the provided files. The gap is consistent across all of them — no lifestyle photography exists for any hero, which is expected (Jessar has never done editorial-style shoots). The 4 with no assets are not yet in the product database and need to be identified.

CheckHeroesNotes
Have box artwork PDF 46 / 50 Good — usable for spec reference, alt-text writing
Have studio product photo 46 / 50 Good — clean white-BG studio shots from Quasimodo
Have lifestyle photography 0 / 50 Expected — needs to be commissioned or AI-generated for hero PDPs
Not found in provided assets 4 / 50 SKUs 7-99738, 7-98690, 7-99754, 7-99757 — not in unified DB either

The key gap: lifestyle photography

Hero PDPs are built around editorial imagery — a pot of pasta on a kitchen counter, a lamp making a room feel warm, a blender mid-pour. That kind of photography doesn't exist anywhere in the archive. Every hero will need it before we can build the full Caraway-style treatment. We have two options: commission a shoot (2–3 days, $8–15K range, covers 15–20 products), or generate via AI imaging (faster, lower cost, works well for hard goods, needs brand approval). We should pick a direction when Michael returns his hero list.

Small data issues surfaced

Two minor data quality items the asset index surfaced:

IssueDetailImpact
4 malformed SKU entries Extension cord products have product names in the SKU field instead of a X-NNNNN code (e.g. "16/3 3-OUTLETS CORD"). These appear in the database as primary-tier entries but can't be matched to assets or migrated. Won't block migration — small batch to clean manually
4 hero SKUs missing from DB 7-99738, 7-98690, 7-99754, 7-99757 were on Michael's hero list but don't appear in the unified product database or in the provided asset files. Possibly newer additions, discontinued lines, or typos in the hero list. Michael should confirm — if real products, add to DB
